GINGER GRIFFIN NEW

Built in 1961, by the Southern Shipbuilding Corporation of Slidell, Louisiana (hull #32) as the Leonidas Polk for the Canal Barge Company Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana.

In 1996, the tug was acquired by Coastal Towing Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where she was renamed the Ginger Griffin New.

In 2003, she was acquired by Florida Marine Transportation of Mandeville, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Big D.

In 2007, the tug was acquired by Accumarine Transportation of Mobile, Alabama. Where she was renamed as the Accu II.

In 2008, she was acquired by an undisclosed interest in South America. The tug was powered by two, GM 16-567DMT diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears, at a ratio of 4:1. She was a twin screw towboat, rated at 4,300 horsepower.
