BRISTOL WIND
Built in 2013, by the Foss Maritime Shipyard of Rainier, Oregon (hull #19) as the Emmett Foss for the Foss Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington.
In 2019, the tug was transferred to the Cook Inlet Tug and Barge Company of Anchorage, Alaska. Where the she was renamed as the Bristol Wind.
Powered by three, Caterpillar C4.4 diesel engines. With Caterpillar 5202 marine reduction gears, at a ratio of 3.42:1. Turning three, Osborne, 50(in), Superston propsat, four bladed, fixed pitch propellers. mounted inside tunnels with skegs for protection against ice and rocks. She is a triple screw tug, rated at 1,000 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 99kW Caterpillar C4.4 generator sets. With a third, auxiliary, 30kW, Caterpillar C2.2 generator set. The tug's capacities are 500 gallons of fuel oil, 23,000 gallons of lube oil, 2,000 gallons of potable water, with a 50 gallons per hour water maker. And, 25,000 gallon ballast capacity for fresh water only.
The tug's deck equipment consists of a single drum, Markey TES-22, electric towing winch. Outfitted with 1,250(ft) of 1.375(in) towing wire. With a Markey DESM 18-S electric winch, mounted on the bow.
