Built in 1974, by the Fredeman Shipyard of Carlyss, Louisiana (hull #111) as the W.F. Fredeman Jr. for the Port Arthur Towing Company of Port Arthur, Texas.

In 1995, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she was renamed as the City of Redwood.

In 2018, the Kirby Corporation renamed the tug as the Redwood.

In 2019, she was acquired by Imperial River Transport Incorporated of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. Where the tug was renamed as the Miss Ivy Brynne.

Powered by two, GM 16-645E2 diesel engines. With Western reduction gears, at a ratio of 4:1. She is a twin screw, towboat, rated at 3,800 horsepower.
