Built in 1997, by Thoma-Sea Boat Builders Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #106) as the Pat McDaniel for Eckstein Marine Services of Jefferson, Louisiana. A division of the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana.

In 2007, the tug was transferred to the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Paraclete.
