In 2008, the tug was chartered by the Cheniere Energy LNG company of Houston, Texas. Where she was renamed as the SP Pearl.
Powered by two, Caterpillar 3516C diesel engines. With two, forward mounted, Rolls Royce UT 255 FP z drives. For a rated 6,300 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 500kW, Caterpillar C-18 generator sets. The tug's capacities are 92,343 gallons of fuel, 3,867 gallons of dirty oil, 3,867 gallons of fuel overflow, 91,652 gallons of ballast, 13,477 gallons of potable water, and 550 gallons of wash water.
The towing equipment consists of a stern mounted Markey, DESDF-48WF, electric drive, double drum waterfall winch. Outfitted with 650(ft) of 7.5(in) spectra line on each drum.
