Built in 2006, by LaForce Shipyard Incorporated of Bayou LaBatre, Alabama (hull #148) as the Risen Saviour for American Tugs Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana.

In 2007, the tug was acquired by the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

Powered by two, Cummins diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 2,000 horsepower.
