The Constellation Maritime company was a full service marine company providing harbor assist in Boston harbor, and project support from Key West to Canadian Maritimes.

In addition to tanker escort and ship assist work, Their services include anchor handling, grey water removal, and construction support.

The company maintained a fleet of nine tugs, a crew boat, and five barges for coastal towing, marine construction, and ship docking tugs.

In 2006, the company was acquired by the Foss Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington. Where the company became a subsidiary of Foss Maritimer under the Constellation Maritime name.

In 2011, the company was reorganized back into Foss Maritime.

In 2012, despite being reabsorbed in Foss Marine Holdings. The Boston Division's assets where acquired by McAllister Towing and Transportation of New York, New York. And the Constellation Maritime Company ceased operations.
