Founded in 1948, the Crounse Corporation has been a leader in the river transportation industry, in no small part due to being located at the confluence of the Tennessee and Ohio Rivers. They have become one of the largest carriers of dry bulk commodities on the inland river, transporting over 30 million tons of cargo each year along the U.S. Inland Waterways.
